Terms of Service
Plain-language summary: SlitForge is a production tracking app for tape and nonwoven converting operations, built and operated by Gannon Labs. By using SlitForge, you agree to these terms. Your data is yours — we don't sell it. Subscriptions are billed in advance and are non-refundable, but you can cancel at any time to stop future charges. We're a small team doing our best to keep the app reliable, but we can't guarantee it will be perfect. If something isn't working, email us and we'll fix it. The full legal details are below.
Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you (the individual or company accessing SlitForge) and Gannon Labs, the company that owns and operates the SlitForge platform ("we," "us," or "our").
By creating an account, entering a license key, or using any part of the SlitForge application — accessible at app.slitforge.com or any related subdomain — you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you are using SlitForge on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms. In that case, "you" refers to that organization.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use SlitForge.
These Terms apply to all subscription tiers — Basic, Pro, and Enterprise — and to any free trial period.
User Accounts and Responsibilities
Account Creation
To use SlitForge, you must activate your account using a valid license key provided by Gannon Labs. Each license key is issued to a single company and covers that company's entire operation under the terms of the applicable subscription tier.
Account Security
You are responsible for:
- Keeping your license key, API key, and any user PINs confidential
- All activity that occurs under your account, including activity by operators, leads, supervisors, and any other users you add
- Notifying us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized use of your account
User Management (Enterprise)
Enterprise accounts include role-based access control (RBAC) with roles including Operator, Lead, Supervisor, Manager, Corporate, and Administrator. The account Administrator is responsible for managing user access within their organization. Gannon Labs is not responsible for actions taken by users added to your account.
Accurate Information
You agree to provide accurate contact and company information when setting up your account and to keep that information current. You can update your contact details by emailing [email protected].
Subscription, Billing, and Payments
Subscription Tiers
SlitForge is available on the following subscription plans. Pricing is per company, not per user or per seat.

Annual plans are billed as a single payment and include a 20% discount compared to monthly billing. Prices are in US dollars.
Free Trial
New accounts receive a 14-day free trial with full access to the features of your selected tier. No credit card is required to start a trial. At the end of the trial, you must subscribe to continue using the service. Data collected during your trial is preserved when you subscribe.
Billing and Renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual) unless you cancel before the renewal date. You will receive a renewal reminder by email before each renewal. Gannon Labs reserves the right to change pricing with at least 30 days' advance written notice. Price changes will not apply to your current billing period — only to renewals after the change takes effect.
Refunds
All subscriptions are billed in advance and are non-refundable. Users may cancel their subscription at any time to prevent future charges. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and access to SlitForge continues until that date.
Failed Payments
If a payment fails, we will notify you and provide a reasonable period to update your payment information before suspending your account. We will not delete your data during a payment grace period.
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to SlitForge until that date. After cancellation, your data will be retained for 90 days in case you resubscribe, then deleted.
Data Ownership and Privacy
Your Data Is Yours
All production data you enter into SlitForge — including runs, defects, downtime logs, machine profiles, and user records — belongs to you. We do not sell your data, share it with third parties for marketing purposes, or use it to train AI models.
How We Use Your Data
We use the data stored in SlitForge solely to:
- Provide the service to you and your team
- Troubleshoot technical issues when requested
- Improve the reliability and performance of the platform
- Send transactional emails (subscription receipts, renewal reminders, support responses)
Data Storage
Your data is stored in Cloudflare's D1 database infrastructure. Cloudflare operates globally redundant data centers with industry-standard security practices. By using SlitForge, you consent to your data being processed and stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure in accordance with Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
Data Export
Pro and Enterprise subscribers can export their data as CSV files at any time from within the application. You do not need to contact us to access your own data.
Data Deletion
You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing [email protected]. We will complete deletion within 30 days of your request. Note that deleted data cannot be recovered.
Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), hashed credentials (PIN hashes using SHA-256), and access controls. No system is perfectly secure — if you discover a security issue, please report it to [email protected] and we will respond promptly.
Privacy Policy
Our full Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference, describes our data practices in more detail. By agreeing to these Terms you also agree to our Privacy Policy.
Acceptable Use
SlitForge is built for legitimate production floor tracking in tape, film, nonwoven, and related converting operations. You agree to use it only for lawful purposes consistent with that intent.
You May Not:
- Share your license key with organizations other than your own company
- Resell or sublicense access to SlitForge to third parties
- Attempt to reverse engineer the SlitForge application, API, or database structure
- Scrape or systematically harvest data from the platform using automated tools
- Interfere with the platform's operation including through excessive API requests, denial-of-service attacks, or injection of malicious code
- Use the platform to store or transmit illegal content, malware, or material that violates any applicable law
- Misrepresent your identity or your organization's identity when activating a license
Violation of these terms may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without refund. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before taking action except in cases of severe or ongoing harm to the platform or other users.
One license key = one company. Enterprise licenses cover all locations and users within a single legal entity. If your organization has subsidiaries or affiliated companies that wish to use SlitForge independently, each requires its own license. Service Availability and Support
Availability
We aim to keep SlitForge available 24/7 and work to maintain high uptime through Cloudflare's infrastructure. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Planned maintenance, infrastructure issues, or circumstances outside our control may cause temporary downtime. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of planned maintenance in advance.
PWA and Offline Use
SlitForge is a Progressive Web App (PWA). Some features may be available offline, but cloud sync and data backup require an active internet connection. We are not responsible for data loss resulting from extended offline use without syncing.
Support
Support is available by email at [email protected]. We aim to respond to all support requests within 2 business days. Enterprise subscribers receive priority support with a target response time of 1 business day.
- Basic: Email support, standard response time
- Pro: Email support, standard response time, priority bug escalation
- Enterprise: Priority email support, dedicated onboarding assistance
Updates and Changes to the Service
We may update SlitForge at any time to add features, fix bugs, or improve performance. We will not remove core functionality from your current subscription tier without reasonable notice and, where material, the option to cancel for a prorated refund.
Intellectual Property
Our IP
SlitForge, the Gannon Labs name, and all associated software, designs, trademarks, and content are owned by Gannon Labs. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the SlitForge platform for your internal business operations during your subscription period. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of SlitForge or any part of it to you.
Your IP
You retain full ownership of all data and content you enter into SlitForge. You grant Gannon Labs a limited license to store, process, and display that data solely for the purpose of providing the service to you. This license ends when you delete your data or close your account.
Feedback
If you send us feature suggestions, bug reports, or other feedback, you grant us the right to use that feedback to improve SlitForge without any obligation to compensate you. We genuinely appreciate feedback — it's how the product gets better.
Termination
Termination by You
You may cancel your subscription at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. Your access continues until the end of your current paid period. All subscriptions are billed in advance and are non-refundable. Cancellation simply prevents the next renewal charge.
Termination by Us
We may suspend or terminate your account if:
- You materially violate these Terms and do not cure the violation within 14 days of notice
- You engage in conduct that poses an immediate risk to the platform or other users
- Your payment remains outstanding after reasonable notice and a grace period
- We are required to do so by law
In the event of termination for cause, we will not issue a refund for the remaining subscription period. In any other case of termination initiated by us, we will provide a prorated refund for the unused portion of your current billing period.
Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your access to SlitForge will end. Your data will be retained for 90 days to allow you to request an export, after which it will be permanently deleted. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including data deletion, limitation of liability, and governing law) will remain in effect.
Limitation of Liability
No Warranty
SlitForge is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific feature will continue to be available. Production floor decisions are made by you and your team — SlitForge provides data and reporting tools, but does not make operational decisions on your behalf.
Limitation of Damages
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Gannon Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of production, lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, arising from your use of or inability to use SlitForge.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of SlitForge shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Gannon Labs and its owner from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your misuse of SlitForge, or your violation of any applicable law.
Note: Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of certain damages. If you are located in such a jurisdiction, some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will:
- Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
- Notify active subscribers by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect
If you continue to use SlitForge after updated Terms take effect, you accept the new Terms. If you disagree with a material change, you may cancel your subscription before the change takes effect and receive a prorated refund for the unused portion of your billing period.
Minor changes — such as clarifications, typo fixes, or updates to contact information — may be made without advance notice.
Governing Law and Disputes
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Hampshire, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Dispute Resolution
We would much rather resolve any issue directly than through formal legal proceedings. If you have a dispute with us, please email [email protected] first and give us a reasonable opportunity to resolve it.
If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be subject to binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, conducted in New Hampshire. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against Gannon Labs.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. The unenforceable provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable.
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Gannon Labs regarding your use of SlitForge. They supersede any prior agreements or understandings, written or oral.
